"Back to school" supplies and september shopping made me want to reorganize my office supplies storage. Since august in France the main stores have made huge commercial operations for school supplies and everytime I went to a store I couldn't leave without checking the pens, highlighters and other stuff.
However this year I'm crazy with neon supplies ! At Hema's I bought a small agenda, a To Do note pad and I found the most beautiful highlighters of the year which are the Bic Brite Liners. I'm ready now for my new organization and more than ever motivated to work in a happy mood.
I reorganized my supplies storage and on this occasion I wanted to share with you some ideas. You will see that you can do great stuff on a budget and enhance your decoration with very few things. The goal of this is to get motivation to sit in front of your office everyday and do your homework, take notes, be creative ! :-)
Idea #1 : Use cosmetics storage for your office supplies
I bought that acrylic storage box a long time ago and I used it to store my makeup in my bathroom. One day I found that the left compartment had the same size as my post-it notepad ! So I decided
to use it for my office supplies instead of makeup. You can find that kind of acrylic boxes in main stores or on Amazon.com (I paid for it around 4 €). Now this box holds my most used
supplies, like highlighters and sticky notes, a glue stick, a stapler and pencils.
Idea #2 : reuse a Starbucks cup and make a unique pen holder !
Follow your imagination and customize a Starbucks cup ! You can use it as a pencil and pen holder. In addition to recycling an object you will have a
super nice decor element to add to your desk. In April 2014 Starbucks organized a drawing competition with its famous cups. I would have loved to attend the competiton with the above design. I introduce my
own doodle : adorned with neon feathers my cup is ready to stand on my desk ! What do you

This year I simply repurchased the supplies I use the most : highlighters and pencils as well as a "To Do" notepad. This is the base of my organization actually. I write important things down and I use the highlighters to remember it more easily. I also use color codes to make it more fun to use on a daily basis.
The most important thing if you want to start a similar organization is to find the system that will fit you the most. You want things to become "automatic". then you will start writing the very important things in your agenda (meetings, birthdays and anniversaries, deadlines for administrative mail and such things) ; on the "To do" Notepad you will make lists for example before going to the grocery store or things to do for a clean home, ideas, and simple stuff that you always forget to do, things you want to check on the Internet - I really need a Notepad for this because if I don't use one, I forget it right away !
